Nestled within the woods along a lake in Rome, Maine, this custom residence was designed to feel as though it naturally emerged from the surrounding landscape. Replacing the limitations of an aging seasonal camp, the project created a comfortable year-round home that embraces its environment through thoughtful design, natural materials, and exceptional craftsmanship.

Working alongside Winkelman Architecture, Warren Construction Group constructed a home that blends seamlessly into its wooded setting. Repurposed stone from an existing stone wall forms the foundation of the exterior design, transitioning into poplar bark shingles and culminating with a striking standing-seam copper roof. The result is a home that reflects the colors, textures, and character of the Maine landscape.

Inside, exposed timber beams, peeled log accents, rustic heart pine flooring, and a dramatic natural granite fireplace create warm, inviting living spaces. A screened porch with a stone fireplace extends the living area outdoors, offering panoramic lake views and a seamless connection to nature. This project showcases Warren Construction Group’s expertise in custom residential construction, natural materials, timber frame construction techniques and homes designed to complement their surroundings.

Warren Construction Group worked with Winkelman Architecture on this project.
