The Cousins Island Residence is a unique family-centered renovation and expansion that transformed an existing farmhouse into a one-of-a-kind coastal retreat. Working closely with the homeowners, their architect father, and a family member who was part of the Warren Construction Group team, the project became a truly collaborative effort rooted in craftsmanship, creativity, and personal connection.

The project included the careful renovation of the original farmhouse, the construction of a substantial barn-inspired addition, and a detached guest cottage. Designed to complement one another while maintaining their own distinct character, the three structures create a cohesive family compound that blends traditional New England architecture with modern living spaces. Construction was completed in phases, beginning with the guest cottage, which served as temporary living quarters while work progressed on the main residence.

The completed home preserves the charm and character of the original farmhouse while introducing open, contemporary spaces and natural materials that support modern family life. The result is a timeless coastal property that reflects generations of family involvement and showcases Warren Construction Group’s expertise in custom residential construction, historic renovations, and thoughtfully integrated additions.
