Located at the heart of the Maine Coast Waldorf School campus, the Community Hall renovation transformed an aging facility into a vibrant, multi-functional hub for learning, creativity, and community engagement. Completed in carefully planned phases over two years, the project allowed school operations to continue with minimal disruption while modernizing and expanding the building to better serve students, faculty, and families.
The renovation introduced a welcoming new entrance, consolidated teaching spaces, music and performing arts classrooms, administrative offices, a commercial kitchen, café, kitchenette, and additional storage areas. Energy-efficient upgrades and thoughtful design improvements enhanced the building’s functionality, comfort, and long-term sustainability.
Today, the Community Hall serves as a central gathering place for the school community, supporting education, artistic expression, and daily campus life while reflecting the values and mission of Maine Coast Waldorf School.
