Founded in 1999, Warren Construction Group is a 100% employee-owned construction management and general contracting company serving clients throughout Maine. We specialize in commercial construction, campus and educational facilities, custom residential construction, specialty roofing, sustainable building, and architectural millwork.

We are proud to have worked on LEED, Passive House, WELL, and other sustainable building projects that promote energy efficiency, durability, and long-term performance.

Our Safety Director is charged with monitoring the active practice and development of our safety policies. As a result, we have received over a dozen awards for our outstanding safety record, including the Richard J. Haines Memorial Award for Safety Excellence in 2009 and 2022.

Company History
1999 – Peter Warren, a veteran of the building industry in Maine and Colorado and a larger-than-life character, started WCG in Freeport. Peter would continue to grow the business, seeing many great projects completed and along the way clients became friends of the company.
2016 – Warren Construction Group became an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) with 100% employee ownership. Peter Warren continued to function as President leading the helm with a strong team forming the company board.
2017- With a need to expand our millwork capabilities we moved into a larger facility in Topsham, Maine.
2021 – We moved our office from Freeport to Topsham, Maine.
2021 – Ken Hough, a 17-year veteran of the company, becomes President of the company with Peter Warren stepping down to become Chairman of the Board.
2022 – Chairman of the Board and founder Peter Warren passed away.
2023 – With in house expertise and a growing demand for our own projects and external projects we started our own specialty roofing department.
